Late this afternoon we planted a black bamboo (phyllostachys nigra punctata) in our back yard on the other side of the stream near the back fence. We bought it here. Ed brought to my attention that one of our neighbors also has some bamboo growing in their yard. I never noticed it before but I had to really look to see it even after he pointed it out for me.
The weather was quite cool and breezy today - perfect for doing yard work.
