Hi Sarah,
In fact the Mid-Autumn Day is not a public festival, it is a family festival, we do not have formal celebration ceremony anymore in current days, but the family member is supposed to eat together at that night, we just take the opportunity for seeing the family members. We almost lost most of the traditional celebration ceremonies.
