A co-worker asked me if I could repair (involves sewing) her daughter's beloved 'Hello Kitty' backpack bag. I was surprised to be asked this since I am not the most skilled seamstress (I know how to use a very basic sewing machine). She knows that I adapted some items at work for easier use that involved sewing.***
It was such a beautiful day here!***
I talked to one of my brothers, L, in Texas. He had a bit of a terrifying experience in the traffic of Dallas last week! He usually drives a very small 2 seater (bmw Z3). He was sitting in front of an 18 wheeler on the interstate. The truck driver apparently could not see the tiny car in front of him - just the car in front of L. The truck driver kept trying to pull up closer to the car he could see - the one in front of L. He would attempt to pull up but 'something' was wrong and he couldn't move up much. In the mean time, L was in his little car and this truck was ramming his back end and smashing the trunk in. The truck driver thought something was wrong with his transmission or something. He rammed L and his little car at least 4 times. During which time, L was able to call 911 and report the license plate number. Fortunately he was able to pull up a little more so that he became somewhat visible to the truck driver about the time the 911 dispatcher reached him via his CB to tell him to stop ramming the car in front of him. L said if he had rammed him just a little harder, he would have rolled right over his car and mashed him flat as a pancake. . . . Of course, he is a bit leary of being in front of large trucks when in a tiny car now. That is scary; my brother could have easily been killed. I think I would not be driving a tiny car anymore.***
Beginning last Saturday night, I've had some of the most bizzare dreams I've had in a very long time!! One included the Bush's( as in George W. and Laura) coming to our house to eat and play games (??) and ending with Ed spraying bug spray on some kittens to eliminate them (that was traumatic for me - have you ever awaken from a dream mad/irritated at another person for what they did in your dream??). The more recent one involved me amputating a patient's arm to replace the elbow joint with the knee joint - it got really bizarre. I thought of that one much of the next day. Just weird stuff happening at night this week so far! Maybe I need to go to bed earlier or something?

The funny part first "maybe I need to go to bed earlier", uhmmm, NO, that would lead to a much longer time in which to dream strange freaky things!
As for your brother, WOW, I am so sorry to hear that happened and so glad he is ok. He must have been petrified. Me, I wouldn't have thought to call 911, but might have gotten the jellyfish of my legs that would have been at that point to get up out of the car... were any other cars around?
(second time trying to post... wondering if I'll wind up doing the same thing as happened to you the other day!)
Lisa - you may be correct. I went to bed late (well early this a.m.) - probably too worn out to dream weird stuff or at least to remember any of it.
My brother was in traffic on the interstate, at that point they were not moving too fast. I asked if he thought of just jumping of out of his car after the second time the truck hit him. Although he was startled to say the least, he said first he was just trying to figure out what this guy was doing. I think it all occurred in a short time span too. I would probably not have thought to call 911 either! I would have completely freaked out and who knows what I would have done! I'm so glad he is alright (maybe just a sore neck of sorts he said).
I know what you mean about waking up mad at someone for what they did in your dreams. My husband and I have both had that experience. What is so weird is that it involves someone we are feeling absolutely no animosity towards or stress about...usually each other(!). It is terrible to wake up angry at your spouse for something he "did" in your dream!
