buddy

We went by our old house this afternoon and noticed that someone was visiting our (former) neighbor / friend, Buddy. We went by his house a week ago and no one was home. He has not been well for a few years so we wondered about him. Later we learned that he was in critical condition in the hospital. Fortunately he is home now although he is receiving hospice care.... Ed promised Buddy awhile back that he would bring Lauren by when she arrived home so today we were able to make good on that promise. The trees at our old house and Buddy's are so beautiful. The leaves were falling like rain in the breeze. We have many good memories of our time in that house (it is very small but the trees! I loved the trees the first time I saw it) and we couldn't have asked for a more delightful neighbor....
