This evening we went to the local Tết Celebration. Our friend, Paula, and her 2 daughters from Vietnam were there with others from the local Families With Children from Vietnam. My husband (who lived in Mexico for a while as a young child) said as we were leaving that it was like a fiesta! A friend, Bang (love his name), of his was one of the dragon dancers.

beautiful pictures, love it. We're hoping to see the parades in Boston this weekend, perhaps I'll have some shots like yours!

Love, love the pictures!!! I am going to be missing our FCC-Houston party this year. I am so bummed. Happy Chinese New Year!

Nikki - it is really fun! I like the dragon dance the most.

Lisa - I would love to see any photos you get in Boston! A CNY year there should be quite exciting!

Wendy - thanks! We lived in Houston when I was younger for awhile (and I still have relatives there). My mom grew up there, parents married there, my dad is buried there. . . .I was never involved with the Asian community in those days there. It's cool to think about that part of Houston though. Happy CNY to you too!
