I thought I would escape going to the doc and get over this bug I've had all week. . .but finally caved and went to see him (happy birthday).

It's all good though. Things work out strangely sometimes. My M.D. works for a large group that shares a waiting room. They are doing renovations so many of the chairs were in the hallway and when I stepped off the elevator, I heard someone call my name. Wow! It was one of the first friends that I met in this area when I moved here from San Antonio (and didn't know a soul in this area). Neither of us were married at that time. However, the guy who introduced me to my husband was actually intending to introduce him to her. Eventually, Ed and I married and. . .yes, I was one of those people who let many of my friendships go a bit in preference of my new interest (husband). We kept in loose touch and finally, we lost touch, but I've thought about her over the years. She is doing wonderfully, as I'd heard on occassion. It was great to see her and meet her 11 year old son for the first time.

One cool thing about birthdays is being remembered by friends and family (coming from someone who is so not great in this area). Two of my friends that I met when I started work in Texas sent e-mails - very good memories. Of course, being thought of by my family and friends at work is as cool.

Happy Birthday Sarah. I am Tamer. I tried to send you an e-mail but it was bounced back twice. Is there a problem in your account? E-mail me when you have time.

Happy Birthday again my sweet friend. You know I can never forget my only friend's birthday.
