what she loves

[More photos!] Lauren shakes her head 'no' when she is finished with her bottle (or when she is finished with food trials or having her nose wiped again!).

She loves. . .

. . . to bounce, hop up and down and can do this quite well on our lap.

. . . to swing and kick her legs (maybe she will love swimming - she would have an incredible kick) and flapping her arms when she gets really excited!

. . . her hands and feet and does this funny little thing with her fingers of crossing them and if she is anxious, she will rub her little finger with her thumb.

. . . to watch people and see what's going on - always curious but not very easily distracted.

. . . this computer (takes after her dad) and loves to bang her hands on it. She loves seeing herself in the mirror or in the photos on our computer!

. . . soft things (like her blanket and silky materials; she doesn't much love dad's 'whisker burns' but does grab at his goatee) and crinkly things.

. . . Peek-a-boo and Pat-a-Cake

. . . scratching her fingernails on materials that make sounds.

...bright lights and colors.

. . . music and clapping and smiles. . . and shaking keys.

. . . And we love her!

''Hey, dad! Don't take a picture, my hair is sticking up!"

(She has wild hair like mom!)

She likes books! She kept herself entertained with these books a long time (until we interrupt her)!

I love when she giggles out loud and 'sings' or moves her mouth as if she's talking when looking at a book.

Tomorrow she will have her medical exam and visa photo taken. We should be able to pick up her visa on Wednesday and then on Thursday we will fly back home. A new adventure!
