visa application

This morning we saw men swimming the Pearl River from our window (Ed thought they were ducks yesterday). There were many of them - it looks to be about a 4 mile swim for them.
We started more of the process to get Lauren's visa to leave China and enter the USA. This is the day Lauren got her physical examination (one of the requirements of the USA in order for her to get her visa, etc.) in this country before she can enter the USA.
We walked to the physical examination office which is about 3 blocks from our hotel.
Of course we came down the stairs by the waterfall (she seems to like falling water). Lauren likes watching these goldfish.
It was just a little steamy (compared to the afternoons) and Lauren was already dripping sweat.

We saw school children on our walk to get Lauren's visa photo and physical examination.
The visa photo was taken in a small 'office' / room in the building next to the physical exam clinic. . . .
She was doing fine while waiting. She liked this cool bench and was curious about one of her fellow orphanage girls, Zia.

However, this is where it began going downhill. . .
When the nurses/doctors took her, or did anything to her, she began to protest!

Not liking it!!

"Mom! Dad! Come on! Get me out of here!"

She was so ready to get that over with!
